This 12-day tour is perfect for those who want to experience Morocco fully, exploring both the north and the south: imperial cities, the Atlas Mountains, gorges, and the magical Sahara Desert. Starting in Casablanca or your agreed pickup point, you’ll discover Morocco’s rich history, architecture, colors, and Berber traditions, finishing in the vibrant city of Marrakech.
You will start by exploring modern Casablanca and the imperial cities (Rabat, Meknes, Fez), continue to the blue city of Chefchaouen, and then head to the Merzouga desert for an unforgettable night in traditional desert tents (haimas). The return journey takes you through the Todra Gorges, the Valley of Roses, the “gateway to the desert” Ouarzazate, the Aït Ben Haddou kasbah, and finally, the red city of Marrakech.

Arrival at Casablanca airport and pickup at the agreed location and time. Brief panoramic visit of Casablanca (outside Hassan II Mosque). Continue to Rabat, the administrative capital, visiting (time permitting) the Kasbah of the Udayas, Hassan Tower, and Mohammed V Mausoleum. Overnight in Rabat.
After breakfast, depart north. Stop in Asilah to stroll through its coastal medina (if route permits). Continue to Tangier or Chefchaouen, depending on chosen itinerary. Arrival and walking tour of the medina. Overnight stay.
Full day to explore Chefchaouen: its blue-painted streets, squares, and panoramic viewpoints. Free time to explore, photograph, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Overnight in Chefchaouen.
After breakfast, depart for Fez. On the way, visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis (optional guided tour) and the imperial city of Meknes: El-Hedim Square, Bab Mansour, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail (exterior). Arrival in Fez and overnight stay.
Full day dedicated to Fez Medina, the largest in the country. Possibility to visit medersas (Koranic schools), the famous Al-Qarawiyyin University/Mosque, tanneries, souks, and traditional corners. Local guide recommended. Overnight in Fez.
After breakfast, depart for the Middle Atlas, visiting Ifrane (“Morocco’s Switzerland”) and Azrou with its cedar forest. Continue to Midelt and descend towards Erfoud Oasis. Arrival in Merzouga, at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Dinner and overnight in hotel/riad.
After breakfast, free time or optional activities (Rissani village, 4×4 desert excursions). At sunset, camel trek on the dunes to enjoy the sunset. Overnight in haimas with traditional Berber dinner, live music, and stargazing.
Return by camel or 4×4 to accommodation for breakfast and shower. Depart to Rissani oasis and then the spectacular Todra Gorges. Continue through the Valley of Roses and the Dades Valley. Overnight stay.
After breakfast, depart for Ouarzazate, the “gateway to the desert”. Optional visit to Taourirt Kasbah. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah and, time permitting, Tamdaght Kasbah or Telouet Palace. Cross Tizi n’Tichka (2,260 m) towards Marrakech. Arrival and overnight stay.
Full day in Marrakech: Jemaa el-Fna Square, Koutoubia (exterior), Saadian Tombs, Ben Youssef Medersa, Badi and Bahia Palaces, Menara or Majorelle Gardens (entrance not included). Free afternoon to explore souks and local life. Overnight stay.
Free day or optional excursion to Essaouira (2–3 hour drive) to explore its medina, port, and beach. Alternatively, spend an extra day in Marrakech for activities, spa/hamam, or shopping. Overnight stay.
