The adventure begins by crossing the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, offering breathtaking mountain landscapes and traditional Berber villages. Along the way, you will visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the city of Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert”.
Upon arrival in Zagora, you will ride camels into the desert at sunset and spend the night in a traditional camp surrounded by dunes and silence, enjoying an authentic and unforgettable experience.
On the second day, you will return to Marrakech along the same route, with new stops and views that complete this short yet intense journey through southern Morocco.

Day 1 – Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Zagora
Camel Trek & Overnight in the Desert
At 08:00 am, your driver will pick you up from the agreed meeting point in Marrakech to start this unforgettable 2-day tour from Marrakech to Zagora, perfect for discovering the Moroccan desert in a short time.
Travel through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), enjoying panoramic views, Berber villages, and traditional farms.
Arrival in Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco”. Lunch break and visit to the Taourirt Kasbah. Continue south via Tizi-n-Tnifift to Agdz, where the impressive Draa Valley begins, famous for its vast palm groves.
Continue to Zagora, where camels will be waiting for a 1.5-hour camel ride across the desert to reach the Berber camp. Dinner and overnight under the stars.
Day 2 – Zagora – Marrakech
Early wake-up is recommended to enjoy the sunrise over the desert dunes. After breakfast, begin the return journey to Marrakech, with optional stops at Berber shops selling fossils, carpets, lamps, and traditional handicrafts.
Lunch in Ouarzazate, then cross the Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech, where the tour ends with drop-off at your hotel or airport.
