    Itinerary

    Day 1: Arrival in Tangier – City Tour

    We begin our adventure in Tangier, the gateway to Africa and a crossroads of civilizations. Depending on the arrival time, we will take a panoramic and walking tour of:

    • Tangier Kasbah, with sea views and narrow historic alleys.

    • Grand Souk and Small Souk, full of life and traditional shops.

    • The old medina, where Moorish and colonial architecture blend.

    • The famous Café Hafa, with spectacular views of the Strait of Gibraltar.

    Overnight in a traditional hotel or riad.


    Day 2: Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen

    After breakfast, we head to Tetouan, a city declared a UNESCO World Heritage site for its Andalusian-style medina.

    Next, we continue to Chefchaouen, the famous blue town of the Rif Mountains. In the afternoon, we explore its charming streets, Uta el-Hammam Square, the ancient Kasbah, and Ras El Ma Spring.

    Overnight in a riad with views of the mountains.


    Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez

    We leave Chefchaouen and head to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, known for its impressive mosaics and columns.

    We then visit Meknes, a lesser-known imperial city rich in history. We explore:

    • The majestic Bab Mansour Gate.

    • The Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail.

    • The royal granary and stables.

    In the afternoon, we arrive in Fez, where we will spend the night in a riad within its historic medina.


    Day 4: Guided Tour in Fez

    Fez is the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco. We take a complete guided tour of:

    • The Medina of Fez el-Bali, the oldest and best-preserved in the Arab world.

    • Al-Qarawiyyin University, founded in 859.

    • The Chouara Tannery.

    • The artisan souks of pottery, textiles, and crafts.

    • The Jewish quarter (Mellah) and the Royal Palace.

    Afternoon free, overnight in Fez.


    Day 5: Fez – Ifrane – Cedars Forest – Midelt – Merzouga

    We begin our journey toward the desert, crossing:

    • Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco.”

    • Cedars Forest in Azrou, home to Barbary monkeys.

    • Midelt, where we enjoy lunch surrounded by mountains.

    We continue through the Ziz Valley to reach Merzouga, where camels await to take us into the Erg Chebbi dunes.

    Overnight in a Berber camp under the stars, with a traditional dinner and live music.


    Day 6: Merzouga – Khamlia – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

    We wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After returning by camel or 4×4 and having breakfast, we head west.

    We visit:

    • Khamlia, a village of Sub-Saharan origin known for its Gnawa music.

    • Rissani, with its traditional market and ancient kasbahs.

    • The impressive Todra Gorges, a vertical rock canyon.

    We end the day in Dades Valley, where we enjoy dinner and spend the night in a charming hotel.


    Day 7: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

    After breakfast, we head to:

    • Ouarzazate, known as the “gateway to the desert” and a filming location for major movies.

    • The Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a perfect example of earthen architecture.

    We then cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) to reach Marrakech in the afternoon.

    Overnight in a central riad.


    Day 8: Guided Tour in Marrakech

    We explore the red city with a local guide:

    • The medina and souks, full of life and color.

    • Jemaa el-Fna Square, the heart of the city.

    • The Koutoubia Mosque, a symbol of Marrakech.

    • The Bahia Palace and Saadian Tombs.

    • The Majorelle Garden (optional), a botanical oasis.

    Afternoon free for shopping or a hammam experience. Overnight in Marrakech.


    Day 9: Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat

    We head north towards the Atlantic coast.

    Casablanca

    We visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest and most spectacular in the world, partly built over the sea.

    Rabat

    We continue to Rabat, the administrative capital of Morocco. We explore:

    • Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V.

    • The Kasbah of the Udayas, with ocean views.

    • The diplomatic quarter and Andalusian gardens.

    Overnight in Rabat or Tangier (depending on preference and logistics).


    Day 10: Return to Tangier and End of the Tour

    Depending on the location of the last night, we organize a transfer back to Tangier to conclude the trip, either to the airport, port, or station.
