The adventure begins by crossing the spectacular High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka pass, featuring mountainous landscapes and traditional villages. Along the way, you’ll visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the city of Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert.”
Once in Zagora, you’ll venture into the desert to enjoy a sunset camel ride and spend the night in a traditional camp, surrounded by dunes and silence—an authentic and magical experience.
On the second day, you’ll return to Marrakech via the same route, with new stops and views that complete this short but intense immersion into southern Morocco.

At 8:00 AM, your guide will pick you up from the agreed meeting point, and we’ll begin our journey from Marrakech to Zagora, heading into the heart of Morocco’s most authentic landscapes.
We will travel through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi N’Tichka pass, which sits at an altitude of 2,260 meters and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the region. Along the way, we’ll see traditional Berber villages and hillside farms.
Our journey continues until we reach Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco”. After stopping for lunch, we will visit the historic Kasbah of Taourirt.
We then head further south, crossing the Tizi-n-Tnifift mountain pass and reaching Agdz, where we begin to drive through the lush Draa Valley, famous for its expansive palm groves. We’ll stop along the way to admire the stunning views—an ocean of palm trees stretching as far as the eye can see.
By late afternoon, we arrive in Zagora, where camels will be waiting to take you on a 1.5-hour ride through the desert. You will spend the night in a desert camp, enjoying a traditional dinner under the stars in the magical silence of the Sahara.
On the second day of our Marrakech to Zagora tour, you can wake up early to witness the incredible sunrise over the dunes, a peaceful and unforgettable moment.
After breakfast, we’ll begin our journey back to Marrakech, with the possibility to stop at Berber shops featuring fossils, handmade carpets, leather goods, lamps, textiles, and many other local crafts and souvenirs.
We’ll arrive in Ouarzazate around lunchtime and continue our drive back through the Atlas Mountains, reaching Marrakech in the late afternoon—marking the end of your desert adventure.
