    Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

On the first day of our 3-day tour from Marrakech to Fes, we will pick you up from your hotel and begin the journey towards Ouarzazate.

Along the way, we’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains via the stunning Tizi N’Tichka Pass, which sits at 2,260 meters above sea level and is dotted with traditional Berber villages.

Shortly after crossing the Atlas, we will take a scenic road to visit the Kasbah of the Pasha Glaoui in Telouet. Continuing the drive through more Berber villages, we will reach the incredible Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified city over 800 years old and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has served as the backdrop for many films, including Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven.

After exploring Ait Ben Haddou, we’ll head to Ouarzazate, where you will have the option to visit one of the city’s famous film studios. Overnight stay in Ouarzazate.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga (Camel Ride & Night in the Desert)

On the second day of our tour, we travel along the scenic “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs”. Our journey will take us through the stunning Rose Valley, and onward to the dramatic Todra Gorges, a paradise for climbers with towering rock walls and a beautiful river flowing between them. Enjoy a relaxing walk through the gorge. Free time for lunch.

We then continue to the city of Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops, where you can learn about ancient fossils discovered in the region.

Later in the afternoon, we will arrive in Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara Desert. There, you will mount your camel and ride through the golden dunes to reach your desert camp. Spend the night in a Berber tent, enjoy a traditional dinner, listen to live Berber drum music, and gaze at the stars under the vast desert sky.

    Day 3: Merzouga – Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes

On the final day of our 3-day Marrakech to Fes tour, we will wake early to ride camels and witness what might be the most beautiful sunrise of your life over the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi.

After breakfast and a refreshing break at your hotel in Merzouga, we’ll begin the journey to Fes. Along the way, we’ll pass through Errachidia and drive along the spectacular Ziz Gorges, carved into volcanic rock, then cross the Tizi N’Talghamt Pass to reach Midelt.

From Midelt, we continue towards Azrou, a Berber town in the Middle Atlas Mountains, where we’ll stop to see the Barbary macaque monkeys in the Cedar Forest. We’ll also stop briefly in Ifrane, often called the “Little Switzerland” of Morocco due to its European-style architecture, for a photo or a drink.

By late afternoon or early evening, we will arrive in Fes, marking the end of our tour.
