    This 3-day tour will take you to discover the magic of the Sahara Desert in Merzouga, one of the most fascinating and iconic areas of Morocco. Along the way, you’ll explore the mountainous landscapes of the High Atlas, stunning kasbahs, and experience the unforgettable golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.

    On the first day, you’ll depart from Marrakech and cross the High Atlas Mountains, stopping at the Tizi n’Tichka pass, the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), and the city of Ouarzazate. You’ll then continue to Boumalne Dades, where you’ll spend the night surrounded by an impressive mountain landscape.

    On the second day, you’ll head toward Merzouga, at the gateway to the desert. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a sunset camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes, followed by a night in a Berber camp under the stars—a unique experience that allows you to connect with the serenity of the desert.

    On the third day, you’ll begin the return journey to Marrakech, passing through the Ziz Valley and the cedar forest of Azrou before arriving in the Red City in the afternoon.

    Itinerary

    Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi-n-Tichka – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley / Dades Gorges

    We will pick you up from the agreed location to begin our unforgettable 3-Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour. Our first leg will take us through the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, offering breathtaking views of the High Atlas Mountains and traditional Berber villages.

    Next, we’ll visit the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its stunning fortified city, featured in several films, including Gladiator. We’ll have lunch here before continuing our journey to Ouarzazate, where we’ll visit the Kasbah Taourirt, the Atlas Film Studios, and the Dades Valley.

    Day 2: Dades Gorges – Tenghir – Todra Gorges – Tinjdad – Erfoud – Merzouga (Overnight in the Desert)

    After breakfast, we’ll continue our 3-Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour, heading toward Merzouga, the gateway to the majestic Sahara Desert and Erg Chebbi dunes.

    Along the way, we’ll visit several Berber villages, including Todra Gorges, Tenghir, Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud, marking the beginning of the Saharan oasis region. We’ll continue through Tafilalet before reaching our destination: Merzouga.

    Once in Merzouga, we’ll embark on a camel trek through the Erg Chebbi dunes, where we’ll capture beautiful photos of the sunset over the golden sand dunes. After reaching the desert camp, we’ll enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner and an unforgettable evening with live drumming music under the clear, star-filled sky. The camp offers comfortable Berber tents, with private bathrooms and hot water for your comfort.


    Day 3: Camel Trek Back to Merzouga – Atlas Mountains – Return to Marrakech

    For those wishing to witness the sunrise in the desert, you can wake up early to experience the beauty of the Sahara at dawn. After breakfast, we’ll return by camel to Merzouga, where we’ll then travel by car back to Marrakech.

    Along the way, we’ll pass through Alnif, Tazarine, and N’kob, stopping for lunch in Ouarzazate before continuing on our journey. We’ll arrive in Marrakech by the late afternoon or evening.

    This marks the end of our 3-Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour.
