This 4-day tour offers a complete experience in the Sahara Desert, crossing the majestic High Atlas Mountains, exploring famous kasbahs, and enjoying an unforgettable night among the golden dunes of Merzouga. On the first day, you’ll depart from Marrakech and cross the stunning High Atlas Mountains. You’ll stop at the Tizi n’Tichka pass to take in panoramic views. Along the way, you’ll visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, famous for its architecture and for being a filming location for movies like Gladiator. You’ll continue to Ouarzazate and spend the night in the Boumalne Dades area.

On the second day, you’ll travel toward Merzouga, passing through desert landscapes, the Ziz Valley, and the Todra Gorges, known for their dramatic rock formations. You’ll arrive in Merzouga, where you’ll begin a sunset camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes. Afterward, you’ll spend the night in a Berber camp under the stars.

On the third day, after watching the sunrise in the desert, you’ll head back via the Dades Gorges and the Draa Valley, with stops in small Berber villages. You’ll spend the night in Ouarzazate or a nearby town.

On the fourth day, you’ll make your way back to Marrakech, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka pass again and enjoying the final mountain landscapes before reaching the Red City.

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges

We will pick you up at 8:00 AM from the agreed location to begin our unforgettable 4-Day Marrakech to Desert Tour. Our journey will take us through the High Atlas Mountains, passing through the Tizi N’tichka Pass, where you’ll see Berber villages and farms nestled in the mountains.

We will then continue to Ouarzazate, the film capital of Morocco, and follow the famous Thousand Kasbahs Road, passing through valleys and mountains. You will enjoy Morocco’s beautiful landscapes with colorful gorges and valleys until we reach the stunning Dades Gorges.

Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga (The Desert)

On Day 2 of our 4-Day Marrakech to Desert Tour, after breakfast, we will take a scenic drive through the Dades Gorges to appreciate their incomparable beauty. Then, we will continue on to the Todra Gorges, a breathtaking natural wonder with towering mountains, rivers, and lush vegetation.

We will arrive in Merzouga, where you will ride camels into the Sahara Desert, heading toward your accommodation. Spend the night under the stars, surrounded by the majestic silence of the Sahara dunes. Enjoy live drumming music, the starry desert sky, and the peaceful atmosphere. The camp is equipped with hot water, bathrooms, and all the necessary amenities for a comfortable rest.

Day 3: Sahara Desert – Rissani – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate

On Day 3, you can wake up early to witness the stunning sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, we will ride camels back to Merzouga where we will transfer to a vehicle and begin our journey back to Ouarzazate.

On the way, we will stop at Rissani, where you can visit the traditional souk (market), the largest in southern Morocco, where a variety of goods, from clothing and leather to carpets, crafts, and fresh produce, are sold. We will continue through the beautiful Draa Valley, with its vast palm groves, before arriving in Ouarzazate by evening.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast, we will head to Ait Ben Haddou, a famous kasbah that has been the filming location for many movies such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and Babel. After exploring Ait Ben Haddou, we will continue through the High Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech, where we will arrive by the end of the day.
