    Itinerary

    Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen – Fez

We begin our journey with a pick-up in Tangier, a vibrant port city blending European and Arab cultures. From here, we head south toward one of the gems of northern Morocco: Chefchaouen.

Chefchaouen, the Blue Pearl of the Rif

Nestled in the Rif Mountains, Chefchaouen enchants visitors with its narrow streets painted in sky blue, white houses, and picturesque corners. We explore its medina, Uta el-Hammam Square, the kasbah, and various viewpoints.

After a free lunch at one of the restaurants with a view, we continue our journey to Fez, where we will spend the night in a traditional riad within the medina.

Day 2: Guided Tour in Fez – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt

In the morning, we take a guided tour of Fez, the oldest of the imperial cities and considered the spiritual capital of Morocco.

    Exploring the Medina of Fez

We visit the Bou Inania Medersa, Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque (one of the oldest universities in the world), the leather tanneries, souks, and artisan workshops. A local guide will share stories and secrets of this labyrinthine city.

    Journey through the Middle Atlas

In the afternoon, we head south, passing through Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its European-style architecture and cleanliness. We then pass through the Cedar Forest of Azrou, home to the famous Barbary macaques.

We end the day in Midelt, a city between mountains, perfect for a restful night before heading deeper into the desert. Dinner and overnight at a hotel.

Day 3: Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)

After breakfast, we continue our journey toward the Sahara, passing through landscapes of great beauty and contrast.

Ziz Valley and the Gateway to the Desert

We travel through the spectacular Ziz Valley, an oasis of palm trees that stretches for miles, nourished by a river winding through reddish mountains. We stop at panoramic viewpoints to appreciate the grandeur of the landscape.

We pass through Erfoud, known for its fossils and as the entry point to the Saharan region, before arriving at Merzouga, where camels await to begin the most awaited experience of the trip.

Camel Ride and Night in the Desert

On a magical sunset camel ride, we cross the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to reach a Berber desert camp, where we enjoy a traditional dinner, drum music, and an unforgettable night under millions of stars. We sleep in comfortable tents equipped with beds and private bathrooms.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

We wake up early to witness the sunrise over the dunes, a moment of indescribable peace and beauty. After breakfast, we leave the camp on camel or 4×4 and begin our journey westward.

    Rissani and its Traditional Market

We stop in Rissani, the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty, and explore its authentic market filled with the flavors, smells, and colors of deep Morocco.

    Todra Gorges

We continue to the stunning Todra Gorges, where towering cliffs form a narrow canyon through which a crystal-clear river flows. It’s an ideal spot for a refreshing walk and photographing the impressive landscapes.

We head onward to the Dades Valley, where rock formations and kasbahs offer a unique postcard view. Dinner and overnight in a charming hotel in the valley.

Day 5: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, we set out for the final leg of our journey, filled with iconic places and cinematic landscapes.

    Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou

We pass through Ouarzazate, known for its film studios and the historic Taourirt Kasbah, before reaching the impressive Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed ksar (fortified village) made of adobe. We walk through its narrow streets and climb to the top for a panoramic view of the valley.

Tizi n’Tichka Pass and Arrival in Marrakech

We cross the High Atlas via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 meters), enjoying a journey filled with curves, mountain views, and Berber villages. We arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon, where our tour ends.
