    Itinerary

    Day 1: Agadir – Taroudant – Ouarzazate

Begin the Journey from Agadir: Morocco’s Atlantic Coast

Your adventure starts in Agadir, a coastal city known for its warm climate and beautiful beaches. Though Agadir is a relaxing destination, it’s also a perfect launching point for discovering the heart of Morocco. Before heading out, enjoy:

    • Agadir Beach, famous for its laid-back atmosphere and water activities.

    • Agadir Kasbah, where you’ll get panoramic views of the city and Atlantic coastline.

Next, we travel to Taroudant, a charming city surrounded by medieval walls and filled with traditional Moroccan architecture. It’s a peaceful place to stroll through quiet streets and visit its bustling souk, where you’ll find carpets, spices, and local jewelry.

From there, we continue on to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert.” This city is famous for its cinematic legacy and desert landscapes. Highlights include:

    • Kasbah Taourirt, an adobe fortress rich in southern Moroccan history.

    • Atlas Film Studios, where movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones were filmed.

We’ll spend the night in Ouarzazate, enjoying its calm and welcoming atmosphere.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Draa Valley

Toward the Sahara: Ait Benhaddou and the Draa Valley

On day two, we journey from Ouarzazate to Ait Benhaddou, one of the most impressive and best-preserved kasbahs in Morocco. Built from mud and straw, this UNESCO World Heritage Site feels like a trip back in time and has served as a backdrop for several films and series, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

Afterward, we drive through the stunning Draa Valley, one of Morocco’s most picturesque routes. The valley is renowned for its endless palm groves and mud-brick villages nestled among the hills. The scenery here is breathtaking, offering a peaceful and immersive desert experience.

We arrive in Zagora, where you can unwind and spend the night in a comfortable hotel or traditional Berber camp.

    Day 3: Zagora – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga

To the Dunes of Merzouga: Meeting the Sahara

The third day takes us deeper into the desert as we head to Erfoud, a town famous for its fossils and as the gateway to the vast dunes of Merzouga. Along the way, you’ll witness captivating desert landscapes.

In Erfoud, take a short stop to admire fossil shops and explore the traditional Moroccan architecture.

Next, we visit Rissani, a historic city that was once a powerful capital in medieval times. Rissani’s vibrant market is still a hub for desert nomads to trade goods like spices and textiles.

Finally, we reach Merzouga, home to the Erg Chebbi dunes, some of the highest in the Sahara Desert. Here, you’ll enjoy a camel ride across the dunes and begin your desert adventure.

Spend the night in a Berber camp, where you’ll enjoy a traditional dinner and sleep under the stars in the heart of the Sahara.

Day 4: Merzouga Desert: Full Sahara Experience

Explore the Merzouga Desert: A Day Among the Dunes

Day four is dedicated to exploring the wonders of Merzouga and the Sahara Desert. The day starts with a sunrise camel trek, offering a golden view of the dunes in early morning light—a magical moment for photos.

During the day, choose from several exciting experiences:

    • Sand dune exploration: Climb to the top for panoramic views.

    • Visit a nomadic camp: Learn about the Berber way of life in the desert.

    • 4×4 excursion: For a more adventurous experience, ride across the desert in a 4×4.

In the evening, enjoy another traditional dinner under the stars, surrounded by the silence and serenity of the Sahara. Spending a second night in the desert is one of the most memorable parts of the trip.

Day 5: Merzouga – Tineghir – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate

Heading West Again: Tineghir and the Valley of Roses

On day five, we begin the journey back west. Leaving the desert behind, we head toward Tineghir, a town surrounded by lush palm groves and dramatic landscapes. Here, we take a detour to the Todra Gorge, a towering canyon with 300-meter-high cliffs—popular with hikers and climbers.

We then continue through the Valley of Roses, known for its blooming Damascus roses used in perfumes and beauty products. The valley’s quaint villages and colorful landscapes make it a photographer’s paradise.

By evening, we arrive in Ouarzazate once again to relax and spend the night.

    Day 6: Ouarzazate – Marrakech – Agadir

Return to Agadir: Marrakech and the Final Journey

On the final day, we travel to Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most iconic cities. Enjoy a short visit to its main attractions:

    • Jemaa el-Fna Square

    • Koutoubia Mosque

    • Traditional souks and artisan shops

After a quick yet enriching stop in Marrakech, we continue our journey back to Agadir, where this unforgettable 6-day Sahara Desert adventure comes to an end. Upon arrival, take time to relax on the beach or enjoy a farewell dinner in one of Agadir’s seaside restaurants.
