    Itinerary

    Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Arrival at Marrakech airport, reception by our staff and transfer to the accommodation where we will spend the night in a typical and charming Riad.

    Day 2: Marrakech – Jemma El-Fna – Traditional Market

After breakfast, we will guide you on a visit to a unique city, Marrakech, the pearl of southern Morocco. We will visit the Bahia and El Badi Palaces, the Saadian Tombs, the Menara reservoir, and many other hidden treasures. Lunch. Then we will get to know the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque and the famous Djemaa el Fna market square, which is well worth a visit as one of Marrakech’s main attractions, full of life at night with local storytellers, snake charmers, and… a variety of foods with their typical smells and colors.

Day 3: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we will depart for Ouarzazate. On the way, we will cross the Atlas Mountains through the dazzling Tizi N’Tichka pass, at 2,260 meters high and inhabited by Berbers. Shortly after crossing the Atlas, we will take a track to visit the Kasbah of Pasha Glaoui in Telouet. Continuing through various Berber villages, we will arrive at the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a stunning fortified city over 800 years old. Films such as Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven have been shot there, among others. After the visits, we will head to Ouarzazate, where we can visit another film studio. Here, we will spend the first night.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Valley of the Roses – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga

We travel along the route of “the Thousand Kasbahs” until we reach the impressive Todra Gorges, a paradise for climbers. We walk surrounded by large rocks alongside the Todra River. Free lunch. We continue to the city of Erfoud to see some ancient fossil quarries. In the afternoon, mounted on camels, we will enter the desert where we will spend the night in a Berber tent. Along the way, we will witness a sunset and sunrise from the immense dune. Before sleeping, the Berbers will play drums for us under a starry sky.

    Day 5: Merzouga – Midelt – Azrou Forest – Ifrane – Fez

We will wake up early in the morning for our Camel Ride to see what could be the best sunrise. Afterwards, along the route, we will admire the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes, changing with the light as the day progresses, before continuing through Errachidia to Fez along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved into volcanic rock, and through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt, then continuing our journey to Azrou, a Berber village in the Middle Atlas Mountains, before stopping to see the Barbary monkeys in the famous cedar forest. On the way to Ifrane, “the French village,” we will stop for a photo and then arrive in Fez.

Day 6: Guided Tour of Fez – Casablanca

After breakfast, you will begin to explore the oldest city in Morocco, walking through its alleys and small streets. Our visit begins at the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, constructed during the 16th century. We will make sure you visit all sites of cultural and historical interest, including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region, the tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Mausoleum of Mulay Idriss. After lunch, your journey to Casablanca will begin with a visit to the largest mosque in Casablanca, the Hassan II Mosque. We will also take a look at other landmarks in the city. Transfer to your accommodation.

    Day 7: Casablanca – Rabat – Asilah – Tangier

We leave Casablanca for Rabat, the capital of the Kingdom, to visit the Med V Mausoleum and the Hassan Tower. We will continue our journey to Asilah, a beautiful and quiet coastal city just 30 kilometers from Tangier. We will be able to observe this place from different viewpoints to appreciate its white houses with murals on them. Free time for lunch. Afterwards, we will make a final visit back to Tangier, exploring the surroundings of the medina until reaching the Church of Saint Bartholomew. Arrival at the port of Tangier at approximately 6:00 p.m. End of our 7-Day Tour from Marrakech to Tangier via the Sahara Desert.
