This 8-day tour invites you to discover the best of southern and northern Morocco, starting in the vibrant city of Marrakech and ending in the charming and cosmopolitan Tangier. Along the way, you will explore spectacular landscapes, traditional villages, imperial cities and live a unique experience in the Sahara Desert.
The trip includes the crossing of the High Atlas Mountains, a visit to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, and the city of Ouarzazate. You will cross the magnificent valleys and gorges of the south until you reach the golden dunes of Merzouga, where you will enjoy a camel ride and a magical night in a Berber camp under the stars.
After the desert, you will continue north visiting the imperial city of Fez, the charming blue village of Chefchaouen, and finally you will reach Tangier, on the north coast of the country, overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar.

You will be greeted by your driver at the Marrakech airport and transferred to your accommodation. Our representative will provide you with a brief overview of the Marrakech to Tangier tour.
After breakfast, we will guide you through a visit to a unique city, Marrakech, the pearl of southern Morocco. We will visit the Bahia and El Badi Palaces, the Saadian Tombs, the Menara reservoir, and many other hidden treasures. Lunch. Then we will see the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque and the famous Djemaa el Fna market square, which is well worth a visit as one of Marrakech’s main attractions, full of life at night with local storytellers, snake charmers, and a variety of foods with their mouth-watering smells and colors.
After breakfast, we will continue our Marrakech to Tangier tour and depart for Ouarzazate. On the way, we will cross the Atlas Mountains via the dazzling Tizi N’Tichka pass, at 2,260 meters high and home to many Berber communities. Shortly after crossing the Atlas, we will take a detour to visit the Kasbah of Pasha Glaoui in Telouet. Continuing through various Berber villages, we will reach the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a striking fortified city over 800 years old. Movies such as Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven were filmed there. After the visits, we will head to Ouarzazate, where we can also visit another film studio.
We travel along the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” until we reach the impressive Todra Gorges, a paradise for climbers. We will walk among towering rocks alongside the Todra River. Free lunch. We continue toward the city of Erfoud to see some ancient fossil quarries. In the afternoon, we’ll ride camels into the desert, where we will spend the night in a Berber tent. On our journey, we will witness a sunset and sunrise from the massive dunes. Before sleeping, the Berbers will play drums for us under a starry sky.
We’ll wake up early in the morning for our camel ride to witness what could be the most breathtaking sunrise of your life. Afterwards, the camel will gently take you back to your hotel for breakfast. Along the route, we will admire the unique beauty of the Erg Chebbi dunes, changing with the light as the day progresses. We will continue through Errachidia to Fez, traveling along the stunning Ziz Gorges carved in volcanic rock, and across the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt. We then continue our journey to Azrou, a Berber town in the Middle Atlas Mountains, where we will stop to see the Barbary monkeys in the famous cedar forest. On the way to Ifrane, known as “the French village,” we’ll stop for a photo or a drink before arriving in Fez.
After breakfast at your riad, you will begin to explore the oldest city in Morocco, walking through its narrow alleyways and small streets. Our tour begins with a visit to the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter, and the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, constructed during the 16th century. We will make sure you visit all sites of cultural and historical interest, including the famous Al Qaraouine University—the oldest in the region—along with the tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Mausoleum of Mulay Idriss. After lunch, you will visit a tile cooperative and then enjoy a panoramic view of the entire Fez Medina.
At 8:00 AM, we will pick you up from your accommodation and continue our Marrakech to Tangier tour toward Meknes. We will pass through the grand Bab Mansour gate to visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, one of the most impressive buildings in the city, where you can admire the tomb’s beautiful decorations. We then continue our journey to Rabat, the capital of the Kingdom, to visit the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Hassan Tower. After lunch, we head to Casablanca and visit the city’s largest mosque, the Hassan II Mosque. We will also stop by other points of interest before transferring you to your accommodation.
We depart Casablanca for Asilah, a beautiful and quiet coastal city just 30 kilometers from Tangier. We will take in the views from various lookout points and admire the white houses with murals. Free time for lunch. Afterward, we make our final visit back to Tangier, exploring the surroundings of the medina until reaching the Church of Saint Bartholomew.
