3 Days Fez to Marrakech Tour

Embark on a memorable 3 days Fez to Marrakech tour through the diverse landscapes of Morocco. From the cool cedar forests of the Middle Atlas to the golden dunes of the Sahara and the dramatic valleys of the south, this journey offers a true taste of Moroccan beauty and culture.

Day 1: Fez – Midelt – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga (Camel Ride & Desert Camp)

The adventure begins as we depart from Fez toward the Sahara Desert. Along the way, we pass through Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and the cedar forests of Azrou, where you can see wild monkeys and enjoy a refreshing nature stop.

We continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains to Midelt, where we’ll pause for lunch. Afterward, the road leads us past Rich and down toward the desert plains, reaching Erfoud, the gateway to the Tafilalet Oasis and the dunes of Erg Chebbi.

From Erfoud, we head to Merzouga, where your desert experience begins. You’ll ride camels into the heart of the Sahara, witnessing a breathtaking sunset over the dunes. At the desert camp, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, Berber drum music, and a peaceful night under the star-filled sky. Overnight in a nomadic-style tent.

Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Dades – Ouarzazate

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Sahara dunes—one of the most unforgettable moments of your Fez to Marrakech desert tour. After breakfast, return by camel to Merzouga and begin your journey westward.

We’ll pass through Rissani, the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty, and Erfoud, famous for fossils and dates. Our route continues through Tinghir and the magnificent Todra Gorges, with towering canyon walls that attract climbers from all over the world.

After lunch, we travel along the scenic Dades Valley, the Valley of Roses, and the palm groves of Skoura, reaching Ouarzazate by evening. Dinner and overnight stay in a local riad or hotel.

Day 3: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Tizi n’Tichka – Marrakech

On the final day of your 3 days trip from Fez to Marrakech, we visit the famous Atlas Film Studios of Ouarzazate before heading to the legendary Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most iconic landmarks in Morocco. Several famous movies, including Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia, were filmed here.

We then drive through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) and admiring traditional Berber villages along the way.

By evening, we arrive in Marrakech, marking the end of your unforgettable Fez to Marrakech tour through the Sahara Desert and southern Morocco.
